LYNCHBURG, VA – The Coalition for HIV/AIDS Awareness & Prevention of Central Virginia (CHAP) is pleased to announce that The Centra Foundation recently awarded CHAP a $15,000 grant in support of the CHAP Mobile Clinic Project.
The CHAP Mobile Clinic Project will focus on taking CHAP volunteers into hard-to-reach communities throughout Lynchburg and its surrounding counties to provide free HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. The Centra Foundation’s gift will purchase a van to be used as the Mobile Clinic.
The Coalition for HIV Awareness and Prevention (CHAP) is a nonprofit organization that educates the public about HIV/AIDS, coordinates services for people with HIV/AIDS and their families, and supports Central Virginia’s efforts to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS.
